Accomodation in Kharkov
February 18, 2007
Hotels are not great in Kharkov, unless you pay western rates. Somehow $200 for a decent room in Kharkov seems morally wrong. You can pay less for a socialist style room if that’s your thing. Renting a flat is a much better idea. As i’ve seen a fair amount in finding my own place I can post some reviews when I get round to it.
As for hotels, the Hotel Chichikov is very pleasant but kinda steep price wise.

You can find a good hotel room for around US$25 a night in hotel Kharkov. If you want budget then you can try and book into the old corpus Hotel Kharkov. Hotel Mir is getting more expensive as is the new corpus of Hotel Kharkov. Long Term your best renting an apartment. If you come in July/August you might be able to arrange accomodation in one of teh student droms if you have a friend who can help arrange it for you. Ther are cheap hotels near the railway station. Best regions outside of the center would be 23 Augusta near the metro or botanical gardens metro.
